In celebration of 30 years of Pokémon and the limited-time-only Pokémon x Target collection, we held a fan-voted tournament over the last two weeks to determine which Pokémon featured in the collection was people’s favorite. Well, after five rounds and more than 437,366 of votes, a champion has been crowned: Charizard.
A total of 32 featured Pokémon were part of the bracket, all in the Pokémon x Target collection. Charizard had to make it through a gauntlet on the way to the title. It defeated Munchlax, Jolteon, Mew, and Snorlax before finally squaring off against Pikachu in the final round. More than 8,367 of people voted in the championship matchup, and Charizard won with 58% of the vote.
